A Creative Journey

My name is Thi Tran. I am a 4th year Fine Arts Major at the University of Cincinnati, DAAP, focusing on electronic arts and concept design. I have been interested in these specific fields since I was young because of the influence of my father, who is a great architect. He taught me a lot about design and laid a foundation for what I am today. I have a passion for military history which has a significant impact on the art I create, and I often do research on this subject in my free time. 

I transform history into art with an emphasis on propaganda. Propaganda, being a form of art present in nearly every documented historical event, varies in style and nation. I want to explore the art of propaganda and the techniques it uses to influence its audience. My work aims to show that propaganda does not have to be used exclusively to manipulate, but that it can also serve as a form of positive artistic expression.
